Swindon’s Bus Company has announced it will increase its services to the same levels it operated before emergency temporary measures were introduced.

The local bus company said it has been operating at reduced levels since 16 January, in a bid to improve reliability whilst its team battled the effects of the Omicron variant.

Alex Chutter, Swindon’s Bus Company General Manager said: “The past month has been incredibly challenging and, although we did everything possible to minimise any disruption, we were forced to made temporary reductions.

“I’m pleased to report that these changes served their purpose, and we are now in a better position - with staffing levels improved. With this in mind, from today - Sunday 30 January, we are restoring our services to the levels they were earlier this month before our increased absence levels.

“We want out customers to be aware of this, and we are advising those travelling with us to download our app, so they can track our buses in real time.”
