Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is calling for people to help care for and plant more trees across Swindon.
The Swindon Tree Warden network promotes, celebrates and cares for trees across the town.
A council spokesperson said: "Whether you want to help promote more tree planting, celebrate amazing trees in your neighbourhood, or help care for trees in general the Trust would love your help.
"Already taking up the baton is Deputy Leader of the Council, Cllr Jake Chandler.
"Alongside being a Tree Warden, Cllr Chandler has regularly been involved in tree planting around Swindon and supporting local wildlife.
"He spoke to the BBC about the programme last week at a Tree Warden session at Mouldon Hill Country Park.
