Following the success of joint events over the last few years, the Rotary Club of Swindon and Swindon Cricket Club are holding another Charity Fun Day on Sunday 9 July.

The event is going to be hosted at Swindon Cricket Club, which is one of the Country’s oldest clubs and is located next to the STFC Stadium, just off County Road.

The Charity Fun Day has something for everyone. A VIP lunch, auction and Q&A session with ex England International cricketer Phil de Freitas, compered by ex Swindon Town player Phil King is being held in the historic cricket pavilion from 1pm (tickets £25pp), while FREE entrance to the fun day and stall being held on the field will be from midday.

The day will include all the Fun Day favourites including Face Painting, Sand Art, Glitter Tattoos, Tombola, Lucky Dip, Hook a Duck, Jamberry Nails plus many more. Running alongside the fun day stalls there will also be ‘All Stars Programme’ cricket matches, which is a national programme for 5-8 years olds, which is being run throughout May and June at Swindon Cricket Club.

A BBQ will also be running throughout the day, the bar will be open and soft drinks will be available.

All proceeds raised through the day are donated to rotary charities, including ‘End Polio Now’, a charity organisation with strong links to the Rotary Club movement worldwide, which has the aim of eradicating polio.

Tickets for the lunch and auction are available from Deacons Jewellers, Old Town. To keep up to date with events follow ‘Swindon Cricket Club’ on Facebook or @swindoncricket on Twitter.
