Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a bungalow on Welcombe Avenue, Park North, Swindon.

On Thursday 2 March 2017, around 8pm, an unknown suspect entered the property and took a red leather purse and some jewellery while the elderly victim was a sleep in bed at the property.

The woman caught sight of the offender as she woke and as they left the property; although left shaken, she was unhurt.

The description of the offender is: possibly male and wearing dark clothing.  It's also believed that the suspect may have used a push bike or been in company of another person who was on a bike.

PC Ed Rogers said:  "We would like to speak to anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area around this time.

"Did you see anyone in the area on a bike or anyone acting suspiciously?"

If you can help with our enquiries please contact PC Ed Rogers on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
