A proposed new secondary school for East Wichel has been unveiled as part of a local consultation.
Plans for the Deanery CE Academy, to built near the existing Waitrose supermarket, include an all-weather spots pitch, a 450-seat auditorium and a 100-seat lecture theatre.

The plans were put on show at the Stowaway community centre in East Wichel this week and members of the public were invited to make comments about the proposal ahead of their submission to Swindon Borough Council next month by development firm BAM.
The project, earmarked for completion by September 2019, will be mainly funded by the Education Funding Agency, with a £9m contribution from the council.
