Police forensics officers were called to the Spotted Cow pub in Marlborough Road after a man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Ambulance service staff, who attended a medical emergency at the Swindon pub at around 10.30am today (Tuesday May 16), attempted to revive a man on the premises but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are currently treating his death as unexplained and the investigation into this incident is on-going.
A post-mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
The man's family have been notified and police have asked that the privacy of the family is respected at this difficult time.
