Celebrating the work of our Armed Forces and the dedication of our local military community, this day will be packed full of fun for all the family, with free entry all day.

The festivities will start at 11am with a parachute drop by the Poppy Parachute Team (weather permitting), followed by an official opening by the Mayor of Swindon, Coun Junab Ali, and Robert Buckland MP.

Displays of military equipment will be provided by the Wiltshire Home Guard, the Gloucester re-enactment group, the Garrison volunteers, REME, the RAF, 7 Rifles, the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry to name but a few.

The Shrivenham Military Wives Choir will be singing during the afternoon, and our local Army Cadets will be doing a display.

Swindon Dance will be performing a special dance which they have prepared to celebrate 100 years of women’s suffrage.

Stalls will be provided by several military charities, our local Nepalese community, local facilities and local welfare support services.

Music will be provided by Swindon 105.5.

A wide variety of food, drink and refreshments will be available all day.

So come along, show your support for our Armed Forces, and have some fun along the way.
