The Wiltshire branch of Mind, the mental health charity, is to hold a fundraising concert with all proceeds supporting services in Wiltshire.

Singer-songwriter Emily Maguire will appear at the Kings Arms Hotel in Melksham on 30 June (doors open 7.30pm).

Emily is known for her thought-provoking lyrics and expressive vocals. Emily’s songs have been played regularly on Radio 2 and have won her fans across the globe. After living in a shack in Australia where she made her first two albums, Emily returned to the UK to tour with American legend Don McLean. As an advocate for mental health, Emily has been featured several times on Radio 4 including Woman’s Hour, Loose Ends and Midweek, where she was interviewed by Libby Purves talking about her book ‘Start Over Again’.

Living with bipolar disorder herself, Emily has done many gigs in mental health hospitals and for Mind groups. She has just published 'Notes From The North Pole', a new book of poetry, prose and song lyrics, and released her hauntingly beautiful fifth album 'A Bit Of Blue', which has been receiving rave reviews in the music press.
