Housing association SNG (Sovereign Network Group) has announced sponsorship of Swindon Tennis Club at St Mark's Recreation Ground for the next 12 months.

Serving up a boost for Swindon enthusiasts of the sport, SNG says its sponsorship of one of the club’s courts closely aligns with its dedication to strengthening community ties across the region.

With Wimbledon currently captivating tennis fans across the nation, the announcement brings a spark of the Grand Slam spirit to the heart of Swindon.

National Tennis Association Director Ed Nieburg said: “We’re delighted to welcome SNG as a sponsor of Swindon Tennis.

"Their support helps us keep growing the game locally and bring tennis to more people across the community.”

SNG is actively helping local people onto the property ladder across Swindon, with Shared Ownership homes available at two flagship sites, SNG at King George Park and SNG at Wichelstowe.

Sue Gallagher, Head of Sales at SNG, said: "At SNG, we're always looking for meaningful ways to invest in the towns and cities where we work, and sponsoring Swindon Tennis Club felt like a natural fit.

"With 10 courts at St Mark's Recreation Ground, Swindon Tennis Club is already doing a brilliant job of making the sport accessible to everyone.

"We hope our support helps the club continue to grow, attract new members, and give even more local people the chance to enjoy the game. It's exactly the kind of community partnership we're proud to be part of."

Four miles from Swindon town centre, SNG at King George Park is in Wanborough, on Wanborough Road.

Featuring a collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom houses, these new homes are designed to suit a hugely diverse range of buyer needs, complemented by an impressive array of on-site amenities.

The wider area, SNG says, also has much to offer residents, with a number of supermarkets, Greenbridge Retail Park and Great Western Hospital all under a 10-minute drive from home, in addition to the stunning Wiltshire countryside and Cotswolds on the doorstep.

For commuters and travelling further afield, the A420 and A419 are moments from home, connecting to Oxford, Cirencester and the M5.

SNG at Wichelstowe hosts a mix of property types suitable to meet the needs of everyone, including one and two-bedroom apartments, alongside two and three-bedroom homes.

Set in 200 acres of open space with nature trails on the doorstep, the location, SNG says, ensures the homes will appeal to commuters as well as those wanting the best from local life, with easy access to the M4 and direct train services to London Paddington in less than an hour.

Closer to home, local amenities including a supermarket and Hall & Woodhouse, for relaxed pub lunches overlooking the canal, are within walking distance, while Swindon town centre is just a short drive away.
