Couples planning to tie the knot can discover all they need to know about having the perfect wedding day during the Swindon Register Office Wedding Fayre next month.
The free-to-enter event, at the Civic Offices in Euclid Street, will be held on Sunday 4 March between 11am and 3pm. Visitors will also be able to look around the Register Office’s three wedding ceremony rooms: the Garden Room, the Juno Room, and the Registrar’s Office. There will also be a fashion show in the Council Chambers and the chance to win a free wedding. Expert staff will be on hand throughout the event to answer any questions and can provide information on wedding law. The Register Office will showcase its Bespoke Wedding service, which allows couples to complete their legal marriage at the Register Office followed by a ceremony at any location in the Borough. Prospect Hospice will also have a pop-up shop at the event, along with many other exhibitors, such as florists and photographers. Mamie Beasant, Swindon Borough Council’s Superintendent Registrar, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming people to the Wedding Fayre and showing couples the three stunning ceremony rooms that we have at the Register Office. “We know just how important wedding days are and one of the aims of the Wedding Fayre is to show off the wonderful facilities that we offer as well as giving our expert advice to couples.” Cllr David Renard, Leader of Swindon Borough Council, added: “This is a great opportunity to find out more about what the Register Office has to offer as well as many local businesses in Swindon. I would invite anyone who may be planning a wedding, or just wants to learn more about this fantastic service, to come along in March and see how the Register Office can contribute to that special day.” If you would like any more information about the Wedding Fayre, call 01793 522738.
