The Christmas season in Swindon Town Centre ramps up this week with the opening of The Brunel Centre’s Christmas Grotto and the arrival of Santa.

From Saturday 11 November, until Christmas Eve, children will be able to visit Santa for free, with every child receiving a free present from Father Christmas. The grotto will be situated on the upper level of The Brunel Plaza between Boots and Marks and Spencer.

Opening times vary and are detailed on the centre’s website, www.thebrunel.co.uk. As Christmas gets nearer the grotto gets very popular so to avoid a long wait, pre-booking is advised.

Bookings can be made via the centre’s website and www.bookfatherchristmas.co.uk/brunel.

There will also be an opportunity to have photos taken and to purchase photo cards, snow globes and key rings.

Another important date for the diary is Saturday 18 November; which is when the town centre Christmas lights are switched on. There will be many activities throughout the town centre all day including, from noon, The Brunel Centre’s own comedy fairies, fairy balloon modellers and comic waiters. This year The Brunel will also unveil new Christmas decorations.

Details of all Christmas activities will be publicised on the centre’s website, and on Facebook: www.facebook.com/thebrunelswindon.
