Model aircraft enthusiasts will be flying high when the British Motor Museum hosts the ‘Large Model Aircraft Show’ on Sunday 28 October.

Visitors will beable to see more than 100 large static radio controlled model aircraftat at the annual indoor show which will be celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Organised by the Large Model Association, this popular family event offers visitors the chance to see the models up close without the restriction of flight line fencing. Visitors can also speak to builders and pilots about their projects and get some handy tips and advice.

The show will also have a large trade area where you can buy everything from miniature propellers to small jet engines and pre-assembled models. Visitors can also attend three specialists workshops on topics which cover Jet Airframes and Installations, Model Aircraft Designs and Improving the standard of Scale Aircraft. The cinema will show footage of the planes flying during the show season.

Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum, said: “This is a hugely popular family show which increases in size and popularity year upon year. There is so much to see and do from admiring the vast collection of cars in our Museum, the huge range of models in the static display and browsing the trade area to find that perfect airplane project”.

The show also coincides with half term so there are plenty of other family friendly activities to enjoy at the same time. These include theMissing Plans interactive trail, Black Cat trails, Secret Agent Skills and Spectacular Science Show. All are included in the entry fee.
