SWINDON & District Branch of the Samaritans opened 19 years ago
and is now located at 6 Curtis Street with an adjoining Charity Shop.
They are open to personal callers from Sam until 10pm every day.
The telephone answering service is open right around the clock - 24
hours a day, every day and night of the year. Volunteers (unpaid of FRESHBROOK p
course) are on hand for all who are lonely, unhappy, isolated, bereaved
friendless or in despair. You do not have to be suicidal to call them.
VOLUNTEERS are constantly needed both to train to become Samar- TAKE AWAY
itans, and also equally importantly, to help in raising funds, much
needed for Branch overheads. The public needs the Samaritans and

West Swindon Ladies TRADITIONAL FISH & CHIPS
Ladies, I belong to a group of ladies of all ages who call
themselves the West Swindon Ladies. The group has now been going
for 8 years and is very well established. We meet every other DELICIOUS HOT SNACKS
Monday at 7.30pm in the Community Room, Toothill School. We do
all kinds of things with very informal meetings. Our ladies come L
from all parts of West Swindon and we have various speakers. We LUNCHEON VOUCHERS ACCEPTED
regularly go out visiting places, for example we went fruit picking
in July and in the Autumn we are going to visit Cloverleaf, to
name but a few. PHONE-IN ORDERS WELCOMED

stall to shop, Pulse has recently moved into larger, bright new
premises and is offering a range of wholefoods, organically grown

Run as a co-operative, with nine members working part-time

of fuss and packaging.
Whole-foods are natural foods, with nothing added or taken
away, free from preservatives, colours and the razzamatazz that
surrounds the marketing of what we need to eat. They're not only
