A trio of former STFC players are among 14 football stars planning to step into the ring for a charity boxing match To Raise £500,000.

Nile Ranger, Simon Cox and Jamie Sendless-White will take part in the contest, the third in a series called A Night to Remember, on 22 October at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
The event is run by Pro Project Promotions, founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack, who says it is shaping up to be the most powerful instalment yet.
Since the debut event sold out Mayfair's Grosvenor House ballroom in October 2025, Pro Project Promotions has raised over £201,500 for good causes across just two events and building a roster of ex-professional footballers willing to relive the toughest ten weeks of their post-playing lives, all for causes bigger than themselves.
Tickets are already on sale from www.proprojectpromotions.com and tables are selling out quickly.
Mr Stack said: “This is our biggest and most emotional line-up yet.
"Every one of these lads has a story worth telling - some have played at the very top of the game, others have had to rebuild their whole lives, and all of them are stepping back into a ring for people who need it more than they do.
"With the documentaries landing on Amazon Prime, more people than ever are going to see what this really means.
"We've raised over £201,500 for charity in our first two events and we want the Grosvenor on 22nd October to be our biggest night yet - so get your tickets early, because this one will not stay available for long."
The documentaries chronicling A Night to Remember I and II are set to premiere on Amazon Prime, taking audiences behind the ropes and into the homes, gyms and personal battles of the footballers who have stepped into this ring so far. For anyone who has followed the series, or is discovering it for the first time, October's event is billed as a chance to see the next chapter live, ringside, in black tie, with all the drama, entertainment and charity impact that has defined every Pro Project Promotions night to date.
Guests can expect the full Pro Project Promotions experience: a red carpet arrival, champagne reception, seven hard-fought three-round contests between former professional footballers, and an after-fight party with some of the biggest names across football and boxing in the room. It is, as ever, black tie, sold-out before doors even open, and for one night only.
Pro Project Promotions aims to unite retired athletes in purpose-driven events that channel their competitive spirit towards making a positive impact.
The organisation recognises the challenges of post-retirement life - from physical fitness to mental well-being, and provides ex-professionals with structure, goals, and a platform to give back.
