The Flight Before Christmas has announced another partnership with GWH charity Brighter Futures.

The Christmas experience, held at Cotswold Airport and using using decommissioned jumbo jet Negus 747 as its venue, has grown in popularity since opening its doors in 2022, and organisers promise that 2024 to be its biggest year yet.

Within the experience, is a voluntary 'giving tree' where guests have the opportunity to donate wrapped gifts to a local charity.

For the second year running, The Flight Before Christmas will be partnered with Brighter Futures, based at Great Western Hospital in Swindon. Brighter Futures will receive the gifts from the giving tree, to be gifted directly to patients this Christmas.

A Flight before Christmas spokesperson said: “Partnering with Brighter Futures was such a pleasure last year, so it was a no brainer to partner with them again this Christmas.

“Our event is all about celebrating the magic of Christmas, and we wanted to extend that by giving back to the community. The Giving Tree allows our guests to play a part in making someone’s holiday a little brighter.”

Brighter Futures is the registered charity of Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and supports services at GWH in Swindon, raising funds to support staff education, the purchase of equipment and improving the environment for patients across the hospital, helping to provide the best care possible.

The Flight Before Christmas giving tree will be accepting donations throughout the event, from 23 November to Christmas Eve, with gifts going directly to those who will benefit from them at Brighter Futures.
