The Alzheimer's Society charity welcomes new participants in its Swindon 'Singing for the Brain' sessions.
There are six sessions per month spread between Freshbrook Community Centre on Mondays and St Paul's Church hall on Thursdays, and anyone who has a dementia diagnosis can attend free of charge for a coffee and sing-along session with their loved one or carer.
A spokesperson said: "These groups are popular and really enjoyable and fun and also have proven benefits to those facing a dementia diagnosis.
"Sadly, we lost our funding from Swindon Borough Council at the end of 2025 which means we don't have Dementia Advisers on the ground who can promote this activity when they do home visits, information meetings.
"We have also lost some of our long-standing regulars at the groups owing to progression of the disease, which means we would love to welcome some new members and I am keen to make people aware we can offer this service in the local area and encourage them to come along and have a taster session."
