Pupils celebrated the opening of a new sports facility at Bridlewood Primary School with inaugural hockey and football games.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the completion of the construction of the all-weather sports pitch after 6 weeks of work.
Headteacher Vicky Sammon said: “We want our brand new sports pitch to be used for so much more than team games, it will help all our pupils to be more active, make friends and build up the teamwork skills that are useful in other areas of school life.”
The new games area will be used for PE lessons, after-school clubs and a wide range of outdoor activities and sports including football, netball and basketball.
