Deputy Headteacher Justin Delap and Assistant Headteacher Helga Maddock were among the senior leadership team members who donned their Christmas jumpers to spread some yuletide spirit as the pupils prepared to head off for the holiday break.

Headteacher Sandra Muir said having a celebratory lunch served by the teachers was a ritual that pupils really appreciated.

She added: “They think it’s quite a giggle that the senior leadership team do the dishing up, but our young people deserve some light relief more than ever this year.

“It’s been a long term and a long year, and everyone’s looking forward to some rest over the break, and like everyone we’re hoping that 2022 will eventually bring some more normality to our lives.

'We’re wishing our pupils, their families, all members of staff and the lovely community we serve a very safe and peaceful Christmas.”
