Swindon 105.5 presenter Nigel Pearce has been invited to present a special episode of his acclaimed publication Inside No 3 during the International Beatles Week Festival.
He will appear at the historic Liverpool Adelphi Hotel on 30 August.
Nigel said: "To be asked to present at this most famous and largest annual Beatles Festival in the world is no mean feat and I feel very proud to be invited to present my unique angle on the workings of Apple2.
"The festival launched in the mid 1970s and has continually grown to be recognised and supported by people from around the world who visit Liverpool to feel and experience that Beatles Magic that the world simply does not want to let go of, some 56 years after this all-time legendary band split."
His book Inside No3 offers a completely different angle into the whole operation of the Beatles' Apple Corps, of which the famous record company is only a part, and has been recognised by Apple.
His passion started as an eight-year-old when he saw the band perform Twist and Shout in February 1963 on TV’s Thank You Lucky Stars.
He said: "My mother said she’d never seen me so excited. My father bought me the single of She Loves You and my fascination was born. "
Since then Nigel has built a enormous collection of records, artefacts, guitars, memos, letters and rare videos of the Beatles in the Apple Years.
His memorabilia which is stored in cupboards and drawers in every room in his house. People continue to offer items to Nigel from all around the world.
David Bedford, owner of the Liverpool Beatles Book Store, said: “Nigel’s presentation is unique, showing the Beatles and Apple Years in an entirely different perspective”.
Swindon 105.5 Station Manager Shirley Ludford said: “Nigel has gathered a large private and personal archive of the band, and it’s a real pleasure to have seen the collection and for him to bring his knowledge and the music to listeners through his programmes, which he has done for 14 years.
"Nigel’s book shows just part of his amazing collection, and it is this book which he has painstakingly brought to life for this presentation."
Nigel also presented at Felixstowe's first ever Beatles Festival at the Spa Pavilion in 2025 and is a listed Beatles author and historian.
He said: “I most heartly thank Swindon 105.5 for all the support and encouragement received since joining and long may I continue with the station.
"I look forward to one day to bringing this Apple Presentation to Swindon”.
