Ways To Keep Your Coffee Hot For Hours

Between rushing through your morning routine, attending business meetings, and leaving whatever you’re doing to attend to an urgent chore — something terrible happens. It’s a disaster that you don’t discover until it’s too late and the options you have for salvaging the situation aren’t effective enough. That’s right, your coffee goes cold.

If you’ve faced this disastrous situation before, which we’re sure has happened to you now that you’re reading this article, then you know the feeling. Now you’re faced with two options that are each worse than other: You either reheat it or you drink it cold.

Instead of waiting for such a calamity to happen, you can take preventive measures! And here are 7 ways to save your day:

1. Tumblers

It’s a mystery where they got their name, but tumblers remain one of the best solutions for keeping your coffee hot for hours. A tumbler is usually made of plastic or glass, but more efficient tumblers are made of stainless steel. As the competition remains strong between top tumblers, you’d benefit from a review comparing between the Yeti Tumbler or the Ozark Trail to know which provides better value. Both are made from stainless steel, they’re both well-sealed, BPA-free (making them safe), and both are insulated and vacuum-sealed. Who do you think wins?

2. Travel Mugs

Travel mugs are also a great heat-keeping solution, especially if you drink your coffee on the road. Made out of stainless steel as well and being vacuum-sealed and mostly insulated travel mugs can keep your coffee hot for hours on end. Some can keep it for 4 hours while others can maintain the heat for up to 7 hours. It certainly depends on the quality you’re paying for, but supreme travel mugs will not only keep your coffee hot for extended periods of time, but they’ll be completely leakproof.

3. Car Warmer

Another option for keeping your coffee hot on the road is by getting a car warmer. This car warmer uses your vehicle to operate, making sure that your cup of coffee remains hot for as long as you’re moving. Beware though, if you stop your car, it stops working, so better be finished with your coffee before that happens.

4. Mug Warmer

If you want a similar solution to the car warmer while in the office, then a mug warmer is your perfect companion. This option will offer to hold your cup of coffee for as long as you need, so you won’t have to worry about prolonged business meetings or urgent matters to deal with. All it needs is to be plugged into the nearest socket and it’s completely safe to be left running for extended hours.

5. Cup Sleeves

This is an easy method that can require little to no cost; wrap your regular cup of coffee inside a sleeve. You can either get a designated cup sleeve to embrace your precious coffee, or you can go DIY and wrap your own sleeve or scarf around it. Originally, cup sleeves were made to prevent getting your skin burned whenever you held a flaming hot cup of coffee. They work in a way that keeps the heat inside of the cup and away from your hand, which means more heat is encaged within your coffee. What does this mean? It means that it actually works!

6. Thermos

If you’re looking into solutions to keep a larger amount of coffee hot, say for a trip or for the whole office, then these options might not suit you. You’d better invest in high quality and durable Thermos to take care of your coffee needs, and the needs of those around you as well.

7. Metal Coffee Beans

It might seem like a risky hack, but there are indeed metal coffee beans, and, surprisingly, they’re totally safe to use. The way these magical coffee beans work is ingenious in its simplicity. Once you immerse a metal coffee bean in your coffee, it absorbs heat from the surrounding liquid, only to the extent that they’re both of equal temperature. As your coffee starts to lose its heat to the air, the metal beans release some of their heat, keeping the equilibrium for as long as possible.

There’s nothing that can ruin your day like getting back to your delicious coffee only to find it dead cold. It’s heartbreaking. To avoid falling into such disaster, taking some preventive measures to keep your coffee hot for hours is the smartest course of action. Your options are varied, ranging from using tumblers, travel mugs, warmers, sleeves, Thermos, and metal coffee beans.
