The Royal Wootton Bassett Arts Festival will be held over the weekend of 15 and 16 November at the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy.
The festival, which draws performers from all over Wiltshire and beyond, is now in its 17th year, and closing date for all entries is 30 September.

New to the festival this year is the children’s author Jack Meggitt-Phillips, who will be delivering a fun interactive workshop on Sunday 15th November aimed at teaching writing skills to children aged seven to 12
A festival spokesperson said: "As usual, there will also be a wide range of classes available to enter over the weekend including Acting, Television News Reading, Mime, Musical Theatre, Classical Guitar, Choirs, Singing, Piano and Poetry, Story and Radio Play writing."

Entries are welcomed from participants of all ages, from the very young to adults. There are opportunities for groups, pairs, and solos.
Festival Chair Sandra McDowell said: “We are so excited to welcome author Jack Meggitt-Phillips to our festival this year. Jack promises a high energy and fun interactive workshop, giving young readers and writers the skills they need to create their own funny stories.
“We have also added story writing to our existing poetry writing competition for young writers. Entries will be judged by local children’s author Alex Evelyn. Please have a look at our website for the full syllabus.
“We have wonderful adjudicators – all experts in their fields - ready to give valuable feedback to our entrants. We know they will be engaging, inspirational and enriching.
“Performance of any sort is the shaping and foundation of young people’s lives and in turn this helps them to grow and gain confidence for the complex world we live in.
"We are delighted we can offer this opportunity to encourage them to excel and encourage all performers to enter.”
The Royal Wootton Bassett Arts Festival is the only one in Wiltshire affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals.
