Following their Summer Reading Challenge - involving the teaming up of the Science Museum and The Reading Agency - this year the Gadgeteers return for a Winter Mini Reading Challenge.

Parents looking to encourage their children to read a bit more this Winter need look no further than the Gadgeteers Winter Mini Reading Challenge.

The challenge aims to help children keep up good reading habits from December to the February of this year.

There is a website that acts as an incentive, which offers young ones rewards for reading and reviewing books.

Once signing up for the Winter Mini Reading Challenge, children are set the target of reading three books before 20 February.

Those interested can sign up via the website at www.wintermini.org.uk. Once a child has finished reading their chosen book, they can add it to their profile, and review it.

When the reading goal has been achieved, it will unlock a virtual badge and children will be able to print off their Winter Mini Challenge certificate to keep and display.

Members of the public can also find other features and activities on the website above, including games, book reviews, reading activities, and more.
