Five people have been arrested following a shooting in Gorse Hill, Swindon, Friday night (19/06).
Officers responded to reports of a gunshot being fired in St Paul's Street, Gorse Hill just before 9pm.
A man in his 30s was been taken to hospital with a suspected gunshot wound. His condition is described as serious but stable.
- A 51-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
- A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and being concerned in the supply of Class C drugs
- A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender
- A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation
- A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation
They remain in custody for questioning. A cordon is in place in St Paul's Street and Queens Drive while officers carry out their investigation.
