On Tuesday (30 May), work began to replace the defective terracotta fins on the Whalebridge multi-storey car park with more robust aluminium ones.
The repair work is being carried out under guarantee by the contractors that built the car park back in 2013.
The contractors will be working between 8am and 6pm, and it’s estimated that the repair work will be completed by early September.
While the car park will remain open and operational while the work is carried out, there may be some disruption along adjacent roads and footways.
