Occupational health and safety business marked its twentieth anniversary with a celebratory lunch.
The Royal Wootton Bassett firm's milestone is a bittersweet one. Nick Evans, who started the business from his home office, passed away unexpectedly two years ago.
His business partner, Gail Farrow, has since stepped up to lead the company as its managing director, with all 13 staff carrying the business forward.
Nick founded Safewell after a 10-year career in corporate health and safety, driven by a simple idea - businesses need practical advice, delivered without jargon, from people who understand their industry.
His previous work colleague Gail joined soon after, and the pair spent the following years building the business together into what it is today, now based at offices in Templars Way Industrial Estate.
“Nick had a gift for making health and safety feel human,” said Gail.
“He believed in straight talking and common sense over box-ticking, and that's still exactly what we do.
"The team has kept that spirit alive every single day. This anniversary is a celebration of everything we’ve worked towards - with Nick, and in the two years since.
“Twenty years is a serious achievement for any business, and we're incredibly proud to have reached it.
“It’s thanks to the culture Nick and I set out to create together, and an amazing team who've backed each other through the hardest of times as well as the good ones.”
