Rotary brings people together with a shared purpose: to use their time, skills and energy to help others.
Rotary is one of the world’s largest and most successful membership and humanitarian service organisations with more than 1.2 million members in over 200 countries.
Rotary membership offers people the chance to meet others, build friendships, support good causes and take practical action where it is needed most.
Whether helping a local project, raising funds, supporting young people or contributing to international campaigns, Rotarians share a simple belief: communities are stronger when
people work together.
For example, Rotary has played a leading role in the fight to end polio. Since 1985 this has been one of Rotary’s key humanitarian priorities.
At that time there were more than 1,000 cases a day in 125 countries. Today, through Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign and its global partners, polio cases have been reduced by 99.9%.
Rotary is also about fellowship, friendship and local action. Members come from many walks of
life but they are united by a desire to contribute something positive: whether that is supporting community events, helping local charities, encouraging young people or raising awareness of causes that matter.
Rotary’s vision is to see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change:
across the globe, in their communities and in themselves.
That vision begins with people who are willing to get involved, share ideas and take the first step.
If you enjoy meeting people, care about your local area, or would like to make a difference in a friendly and practical way, Rotary could be a rewarding place to start.
If Rotary interests you please get in touch to learn more about what we do, meet our members, and discover how you could be part of making a positive difference, locally and
internationally.
